Your work stays on your computer.
NASSCAD has no accounts and asks for no personal information. The files you open and the models you build are processed inside your browser, and never uploaded anywhere. This page lists everything that does leave your machine, and how to turn it off.
No sign-up, no login, no name or email address asked — for students or anyone else.
STEP, IFC, STL and every other file is read and written locally. File names, contents and geometry are never sent.
No ads, no ad networks, no data sold or shared for marketing.
Your files and the MEDUSA engine
Everything you import, model and export is handled by code running in your browser tab. Saving writes a file to your own disk.
The optional MEDUSA engine (for boolean operations and exact STEP export) is a program that runs on your own computer. NASSCAD talks to it at 127.0.0.1, the address of your own machine: the data never reaches the network.
Analytics on nasscad.com
To understand which features are used and what to improve, the pages served from www.nasscad.com use Google Analytics 4. It measures usage anonymously:

Never sent: names, email addresses, file names, file contents, geometry, scripts, or anything typed into the application.
Analytics stores two first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_3181YHN32V, up to two years) that recognise a returning browser without identifying the person. Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled, and no user ID is ever sent. Event data is kept for 14 months.
When analytics is off
No analytics script is loaded, and no cookie is set, in any of these cases:
- Visits from a school portal: ClassLink, Clever, Google Classroom, Schoology and Canvas. The choice is remembered on that device.
- Links ending in
?edu=1, for examplehttps://www.nasscad.com/NASSCAD_V4_7_0.htm?edu=1. Districts can use this address in their portals and bookmarks. - Browsers sending Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
- The offline package and any copy of NASSCAD opened from a disk, a network share or another server.
- After you switch it off with the button below.
Schools and districts
NASSCAD collects no personal information from students. For classroom use, either:

Other requests your browser makes
The home page and the NassScript documentation load their fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the request. The application page loads no third-party fonts. Like any website, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, date, requested page, browser) for security and operation.
